The Big East Conference is a collegiate athletic conference that competes in NCAA Division I in ten men's sports and twelve women's sports. Headquartered in New York City, the eleven full-member schools are primarily located in Northeast and Midwest metropolitan areas. The conference was officially recognized as a Division I multi-sport conference on August 1, 2013,[1] and since then conference members have won NCAA national championships in men's basketball, women's cross country, field hockey, men's lacrosse, and men's soccer. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame has announced its Class of 2026, honoring three legendary players and three iconic coaches - including Villanova's Jay Wright - whose collegiate careers represent the highest levels of achievement in the history of the game. The class includes national championship coaches Wright and Tubby Smith, longtime Kansas coach Ted Owens, BYU superstar Danny Ainge, Michigan scoring ace Glen Rice and the late UCLA legend Walt Hazzard.

NEW YORK - As the 2026 NBA Summer League is set to begin play, 35 BIG EAST alumni have been named to the rosters for the 30 teams competing in Las Vegas from July 9-19 and the Thomas & Mack Center and Pavilion on the campus of UNLV. Included in that number are five players that heard their names called in the 2026 NBA Draft - Zuby Ejiofor (Atlanta), Tarris Reed Jr. (San Antonio), Alex Karaban (Sacramento), Dillon Mitchell (Boston), and Bryce Hopkins (Denver).

NEW YORK – A total of five BIG EAST players were selected over the first 50 picks and two rounds of the 2026 NBA Draft. Three First Round selections and two in the second round complete the full slate of picks over the two days of selections in Brooklyn. In the first round of the 2026 NBA held on Tuesday, June 23 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., the BIG EAST had three players selected among the first 30 picks. During Wednesday's second round, two players heard their names called.

NEW YORK – In the first round of the 2026 National Basketball Association Draft held Tuesday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., the BIG EAST had three players selected among the first 30 picks. BIG EAST Player of the Year Zuby Ejiofor of St. John's was selected 23rd overall by the Atlanta Hawks, while UConn's Tarris Reed Jr. was chosen with the 26th pick by the Denver Nuggets in a reported trade to the San Antonio Spurs.
