Big Finish Productions is a production company, publisher and distributor. We produce CDs, downloads and books.
We are perhaps best known for our Doctor Who ranges of full-cast audio dramas (and its various spin-offs) but we also produce a wide range other series, including Torchwood, Blake's 7, Dark Shadows, Terrahawks, The Avengers, The Prisoner, Survivors, The Omega Factor, Space 1999, Adam Adamant Lives!, Timeslip, Callan, Sherlock Holmes and more.
The chairman of the company and co-executive producer is Jason Haigh-Ellery. The company name comes from the title of an episode of Steven Moffat's much-loved TV programme Press Gang, entitled The Big Finish.
Nicholas Briggs is co-executive producer with Jason, and as Creative Director he is responsible for the whole of Big Finish's output. John Ainsworth is our Senior Producer across all ranges. Source

October 2026 will see the release of The Missing Hour, which stars the very first TARDIS team. It’s a character-centred story, focusing on Barbara Wright as she takes an opportunity to meet her father when he was young – and before he went missing in action.

Radio Times Doctor Who anniversary editions re-issued
20 August 2026 Stop Press•Big Finish News•Big Finish Books Doctor Who has been entertaining fans for over sixty years now, and every anniversary has been marked with a celebration. For the show’s tenth and twentieth anniversaries, in 1973 and 1983, the iconic listings magazine Radio Times put out special celebratory editions. Those two classic magazines have now been restored and are due to be republished as collector’s edition hardback books, released this November by Big Finish Productions.
