Hello! I’m writing you from my kitchen table back in Albuquerque, where we are having a surprisingly LUSH fall. Last October, I planted a desert willow tree in my backyard and when I got home I was ECSTATIC to discover it had grown like THREE FEET while I was gone! Wild. Big, grateful shoutout to my friends and neighbors who watered this tree for me while I was away. I’ve been leaning hard into these sweatpants since I’ve been home.

Quick recap: I came to Maine for my sister’s wedding; I stayed longer than expected; I got cold. After a few fruitless trips to the thrift stores, I ordered some things from Old Navy. Old Navy works pretty well for me. It’s affordable, it’s easy for me to return (I usually do it in person.) They consistently carry a size that fits me. They have many, many options in terms of style, color, etc. It’s safe, it’s reliable. And! It’s not perfect! It’s fast fashion. The quality is inconsistent.
