BMI announced today that Mason Hunter has been promoted to Vice President, Creative, Partnerships & Events. Hunter will continue to identify new brand partners that align with BMI’s business needs and creative opportunities, create new revenue streams to benefit BMI’s affiliated songwriters, composers, and publishers, and maximize existing partnerships to build mutual brand awareness.

BMI was excited to again support Irish composer Emer Kinsella as she returned to Culver City, CA to present her latest work. Flanked by the Emersion Ensemble and movement artists, Kinsella performed “Currents: Composers in Motion,” an immersive evening of cinematic music, live chamber strings, piano, electronics, and movement on August 27 at the Wende Museum in Culver City.

BMI is proud to congratulate its nominees for the 60th annual CMA Awards taking place on November 18 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Ella Langley leads the group with nine nods, including her first for Entertainer of the Year and two nominations in the Single of the Year category. Other top nominees include Miranda Lambert with seven nominations, Ben West with five nominations, and Cody Johnson with four.

BMI was thrilled to see affiliates honored at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which were split over two nights this past weekend at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles. An edited presentation will air on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 8 p.m. PT on FXX and will be available to stream on Hulu. Here’s the complete list of BMI’s winners. Congratulations to all.

BMI congratulates our many Latin songwriters who took top honors at last night’s 2026 Premios Juventud Awards, which took place in Europe, for the first time, at the Starlite Auditorium in Marbella, Spain.
