Her father has been a Bradley Men’s Basketball season ticket holder for more than 30 years—longer than Allison has been alive—and attending games together became a family tradition. They talked with players, celebrated victories, and built countless memories along the way. “I have my dad to thank for my love of Bradley,” Krone said.
Bradley Awarded $3 Million Federal Grant to Strengthen Student Success and Advance AI Learning
October 12, 2026 Bradley University has been awarded a $3 million federal grant as part of the U.S. Department of Education’s Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP). The grant is designed to expand academic support, strengthen advising and accessibility services, and advance responsible use of artificial intelligence in teaching and learning. The multi-year initiative will help more students stay enrolled, succeed in their courses and complete their degrees.

A Foundation for Lifelong Learning

I was certain I would attend Western Illinois University, where I had earned a music scholarship and secured a place in the choir. Bradley wasn’t even on my radar. However, my plans changed after I met Bradley Music Professor, Dr. John Jost at the Illinois All-State Choir Festival in January 2006. Dr. Jost’s dedication, precision, intellect, and humor as a choral director were inspiring.
Remembering Post-9/11 FDNY Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta ’58
September 28, 2026 When Nicholas Scoppetta was five years old, his mother forged a check for $18 in cash and $3.20 in groceries. His mother was jailed for three months, and Scoppetta and his two older brothers would spend the next six years moving through various institutions in the foster care system. Decades later, after securing a degree in Civil Engineering at Bradley through the G.I. Bill following two years in the army, Scoppetta would dive into public service.
Bradley Welcomes Larger First-Year Class as Campus Momentum Grows
September 24, 2026 Bradley University has completed its annual fall student census, welcoming 1,160 new students for the Fall 2026 semester. The incoming class includes 876 first-year students, 180 transfer students, and 104 graduate students. The number of new first-year students represents a more than 36% increase over last fall.
Senior Consulting Project Sparks Real-World Success
What began as a senior capstone project has turned into a professional partnership for recent Bradley graduate, John Abboud ’26. As part of Bradley’s Senior Consulting Project, Abboud, a Personal Financial Planning major, and his classmates served as consultants for Pop-A-Shot, the iconic Peoria-area manufacturer known for its arcade basketball games.

A Long-Distance Friendship Built on Endurance
Somewhere on the road between Michigan City and Notre Dame, with 50-something-year-old legs and more miles behind us than either of us probably cared to count, I found myself thinking about another trip Rick and I had taken together. That one was more than 35 years earlier. We were freshmen at Bradley University, and Rick needed a ride home. There was something fitting about where we were headed that day. Rick and I are both Midwestern-raised Catholic guys who grew up Notre Dame fans.
From Interns to Full-Time Employees at CMT
Connor Finney ’23 and Ethan Sountris ’26, interned at at Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT), a nationally recognized engineering firm with more than 25 offices around the country, while studying civil engineering at Bradley.
