The first time I went to New York City was for my 16th birthday with my mother. We took a charter bus that was heading that way and sat, cuddled up next to one another in our two-for-one sale coats from Aéropostale (the bus’ heat was on the fritz). Our hotel was close to Times Square. I went to a Pret a Manger for the first time (and bragged about it to all my friends for a week). I came back Monday morning in time for a chemistry mid-term.
