After months of speculation and pleas from fans everywhere, it was confirmed earlier this year that Jamie Lloyd’s award-winning revival of Evita will officially transfer to Broadway in 2027 following a critically-acclaimed run on London’s West End. The long-loved musical made its original Broadway debut in 1979 with a brief revival in 2012. Now, the musical returns to New York City with Rachel Zegler reprising her titular role. This upcoming Broadway season will see two Jamie Lloyd revivals fresh off of London’s West End. The real kicker? Both productions will be housed at the Winter Garden Theatre. It was previously announced that Much Ado About Nothing and Evita will be receiving Broadway transfers this season, both under the award-winning direction of Jamie Lloyd. Lloyd was last seen taking Broadway by storm with his Tony Award-winning revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Blvd.

Two new Queens were recently announced to join the castle: star of the Netflix hit Owning Manhattan, Chloe Tucker Caine, and singer/songwriter Stephanie Jae Park will join the Broadway cast of the Tony Award-winning hit musical SIX at the Lena Horne Theatre on Broadway. Chloe Tucker Caine will make her Broadway debut as Anne Boleyn and Stephanie Jae Park, who starred as Eliza in Hamilton on Broadway, will play Catherine Parr.

Globally beloved superstar Dolly Parton announced that DOLLY: A True Original Musical, a remarkable journey through the life of this trailblazing woman, will come to Broadway this winter. Preview performances will commence Monday, December 7, 2026 and the show’s opening night will take place on Parton’s 81st birthday on Tuesday, January 19, 2027. The new musical will play at New York’s St. James Theatre on Broadway.

Tonight, Meg Stalter (Hacks) begins performances as Mary Todd Lincoln in Cole Escola’s Tony-winning play Oh, Mary! at the Lyceum Theatre. Stalter is making her Broadway debut in the role, succeeding Maya Rudolph, who played her final performance on Sunday, July 5. Stalter will remain in the role through September 12.

It was just announced that fan favorites François Arnaud (Heated Rivalry), David Corenswet (Superman), and Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid’s Tale) will be joining forces in a new revival of Tony Award winner Richard Greenberg’s Three Days of Rain. It will mark the Broadway debuts of Corenswet and Arnaud. The play, which will begin performances in February 2027 at a Broadway theatre to be announced, will be directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. It was announced today that Broadway in Bryant Park is returning this summer! Starting on Thursday, July 23 at 11 a.m. EST, with performances running from 12:30-1:30 p.m. EST, this program hosted by LiteFM will allow theatre fans to attend free performances from Broadway’s biggest stars throughout the summer on the Bryant Park stage. It was just announced that Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis’s new musical Warriors will officially make its Broadway debut at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in March 2027. Based on the book The Warriors by Sol Yurick and the film of the same name, the musical will open on Broadway in the spring with exact dates to be announced. Tickets will go on sale in October 2026.
