Chilifest Battle of the Bands Entry
The Details: Winner of Chilifest Battle of the Bands will be the performer for Chilifest’s 2024 Line-Up Reveal Party at Shiner Park and will be added to the Chilifest roster of performers on April 5th or April 6th Artists have until October 1st to Submit.
Candy 95 & Maverick 100.9 at Chilifest
For the second year in a row, Candy 95 served as a media sponsor for Chilifest and with not even a year under its belt, Maverick 100.9 was the country radio sponsor for Chilifest 2015. To be a part of something so big so early was something very special to Maverick Program Director, Adam Drake. “It was amazing seeing our logo everywhere and being in front of that many people so early in our run with Maverick,” says Drake.
Maverick at Backin' the Blue with 42 and Brew
B/CS is a tight-knit community that always comes together to help others in need. Recently the Dixie Chicken hosted an event to help raise funds for College Station police officer. Maverick 100.9 was excited to join forces with the Chicken for such a good cause. Detective Gatlin Kling was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer. Kling, a Bryan native, graduated from Texas A&M in 2005 with a degree in agricultural communications and journalism.

Bryan Broadcasting Teams with Lemonade Day B/CS
May 3, keep your eyes open for Lemonade stands across Aggieland. You shouldn’t have a hard time finding them as hundreds of area kids will take to the streets in a real life experiment in small business ownership. Candy 95 and WTAW have partnered with the organization again this year. Lemonade Day was founded in Houston as a way of teaching kids about money, entrepreneurship, marketing, small business ownership and more. Children sign up and on Lemonade Day build a lemonade stand.
Bryan Broadcasting Wins Bonner McLane Award
For the seventh year, Bryan Broadcasting’s community service to Bryan College Station has been recognized with the Texas Association of Broadcasters Bonner McLane award. The Texas Association of Broadcasters created the Bonner McLane Public Service Awards to recognize six television and radio stations’ outstanding contributions and service to their local communities. Bryan Broadcasting was given the service award for the “Empty Bowls Jr.” fundraiser.
