Earth Sciences Bulletin
Journal
BSGF - Earth Sciences Bulletin publishes several types of contributions:
original articles, covering all the disciplinary fields of Geosciences, with a fundamental vocation but also with a more applied vocation (risks, resources);
summary articles, reviewing advances in a specific field of Geosciences, whether methodological or regional;
monographs on the geology of a given region, together with additional information, maps, sections, logs, seismic profiles, etc. published online as an appendix to the article;
short “ express letter ” type articles ;
excursion guidebooks (which will follow the same editorial review process as more traditional articles);
reports of campaigns at sea;
articles of geodetic, geophysical or geochemical data, which can become reference articles that can lead to subsequent interpretations.
BSGF - Earth Sciences Bulletin also provides a forum for discussions among Earth Science specialists, comment-reply or otherwise. All the articles published, whatever their form, will be accessible free of charge (Open Access articles) on the SGF website and on the Geosciences World website insofar as the authors have paid a contribution of (Article Processing Charges – APC) of €300 for SGF members and €500 for non-members.
The BSGF also publishes thematic volumes proposed following a congress or a scientific event and piloted by guest editors.
The evaluation procedure (between submission and acceptance) generally lasts 4 to 6 months. Accepted articles awaiting publication are online on the SGF website, accessible to the community and citable. The editorial team is very attentive to the submission of articles by thesis students and in this case the evaluation procedure is adapted to minimize delays.
The BSGF authorizes the authors to place the n-1 version of their manuscripts (that is to say accepted but without formatting by the journal) in the HAL Open Archives.
With an annual impact factor greater than 1 (1.43 at 5 years), the BSGF is a leading international journal in the field of Geosciences, with a broad spectrum and significant dissemination/accessibility via GSW, and which remains independent of the large commercial publishing groups.
The editorial team invites French and foreign authors, juniors and seniors alike, to publish their results in the BSGF. Source
