A senior leader of Bangladesh’s ruling Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has alleged that the recent shutdown of a unit at Adani Power’s Godda thermal plant in Jharkhand was linked to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s decision not to attend the BRICS Summit in New Delhi. BNP acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the claim on Wednesday while addressing a protest programme outside the Jatiya Press Club in Dhaka.
