Streaming and connected TV (CTV) advertising continued to gain ground against linear television this year as advertisers shifted more spending toward digital video platforms, according to Sensor Tower’s newest State of Digital Advertising 2026 report. CTV advertising spending reached $12.1 billion in the U.S. during the first seven months of 2026, up 16.8% from the same period last year. By comparison, YouTube advertising spending increased 6% while linear TV declined 3%.

BMW widened its lead in the U.S. luxury market during the third quarter, topping 100,000 sales and increasing its advantage over Lexus and Mercedes-Benz.
