Citizens Advice and Rights Fife (CARF) is an independent and innovative advice organisation providing holistic advice and support to local people. Our service continues to grow and expand, and we are now excited to be able to announce a further position attached to the food insecurity agenda to help us achieve our vision of “A better life for the people of Fife”. Food insecurity occurs where people no longer have reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable nutritious food.

The post holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of a new frontline service to support clients in hardship and poverty resulting from cost-of-living crisis. This is a new project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. The role will involve triaging, advising and supporting clients experiencing hardship and poverty, then providing frontline support of Food, Fuel, Period, Data and Device supports where available.

Ross and Cromarty Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent and innovative advice organisation providing holistic advice and support to local people. The Patient Advice and Support Service (PASS) was created by the Patient Rights (Scotland) Act which was passed in February 2011 to promote awareness of patient rights and responsibilities and provide advice and support to those wishing to give feedback or comments, or to raise concerns or complaints about NHS care received.

This winter Almost one in every five people who walked through our doors received energy advice. We’ve supported more than 9,000 people across Scotland with their energy needs. People seeking advice from our network had an average energy debt of £2,500 – an 8% increase from last year.
