WHO estimated approximately 215,000 cancers are diagnosed per year in those younger than 15 years worldwide with an estimated 80,000 cancer-related deaths in these annually based on data collected by more than 100 population-based cancer registries (PBCRs) in 68 countries around the world in 2001–2010. More than 80% of all childhood cancer cases are occurring in low- and middle-income countries.[1] The past decade has shown an excellent prognosis and survival rate in pediatric cancer.
