India plans to build a major geothermal power plant in Arunachal Pradesh just across the border from where China is setting one up, amid increasing Chinese claims on the North-eastern state. This will be the second geothermal project in the country, after the one at Puga Valley in Ladakh An insider said to a leading daily that the Centre is considering providing viability gap funding for this energy segment which is at its nascent stage in India and yet to be explored deeply.

Rithwik Projects will build 382 MW Sunni Dam hydro power project for `1,098 crore for state-run SJVN Ltd. SJVN signed the Contract Agreement for engineering, procurement and construction of civil and hydro-mechanical works of 382 MW Sunni Dam Hydro Electric Project, a SJVN statement said. The Letter of Award for Civil & Hydro-Mechanical works was issued on 14th Jan.'23. On Mar.'23, a contract agreement for the same was executed after completion of all prerequisites.

Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, will soon launch the Cloverleaf intersection which will connect NH-48, the Southern Peripheral Road and the Dwarka Expressway.
