Canada’s premier bilingual career development conference, Cannexus27, is now open for registration with Super Saver rates available until September 9. The conference will take place from January 25-27, 2027, both virtually and in-person at the Rogers Centre in Ottawa. This years theme, Navigating Uncertainty, Creating Possibility, reflects the challenges and opportunities shaping career development across Canada today.

Through play, young children explore their environment, learn to problem solve, make decisions and adjust to change. From a young age, children envision themselves in possible roles for their future. They talk about and try on their hopes and dreams.

This is the second of two reports summarizing the findings of a CERIC-backed study, led by Dr Peter Dietsche and Jim Lees of PSE Information Systems, that sought to establish the importance that publicly funded universities and colleges place on the provision of career development services and to highlight particularly impressive models of career services across the country.

This documentary film examines career shift, transition and occupational change in later life. As life expectancy increases, many people are interested in an extension of working life. This film shares the stories of five people who have changed occupation at age 50 or older.In the future, redirection is expected to increase in our society as more people transition into new occupations. The term redirection refers to a new stage of career that is emerging.
