REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American defensive lineman Aaron Patrick, the team announced on Wednesday. Patrick dressed for 16 regular season games with the Roughriders in 2025, registering seven special teams tackles. He also suited both playoff games, including the 2025 Grey Cup, continuing to be a dominant force on special teams and routinely commanding double-team blocking assignments in coverage.

OTTAWA — The Ottawa REDBLACKS have signed National linebacker Daniel Kwamou and American defensive back Lento Smith Jr., the team announced on Wednesday. Kwamou suited up in 11 games last season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (seven) and the Toronto Argonauts (four), registering five special teams tackles. The Calgary native missed the 2024 season due to injury but suited up in nine games, posting eight special teams tackles with the Argos in 2023.

Receivers were the dominant force in Week 12, with Montreal’s Tyson Philpot leading all players in CFL Weekly Fantasy with 28.5 Fantasy Points. Toronto’s Damonte Coxie (23.5) and BC’s Jevon Cottoy also topped the 20-point barrier in weekly play, making the position desirable to build a team around in Week 13. He has thrown at least one TD pass in each game this season. Dave Dickenson is one win shy of becoming the 11th coach to reach 100 victories. Zander Horvath leads the league with 12 majors; he has seven in his past four games. Reggie Stubblefield leads the league with 59 defensive tackles.

VANCOUVER — The BC Lions have signed American defensive back/return specialist Lawrence Woods III, the team announced on Tuesday. Woods, a St. Louis, Missouri native, suited up in 31 games across a pair of stints with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2022, 2023-24) and returned 86 kickoffs for 1,874 yards and one touchdown, while adding 1,345 yards and a major on 108 punt returns. Woods also added 28 defensive tackles and 14 special teams stops.

SASKATCHEWAN — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American receiver Shemar Bridges, the team announced on Tuesday. Bridges brings his All-CFL pedigree to Saskatchewan, having appeared in 33 games over three seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The Florida native signed with the Ticats in January 2024 and went on to have a standout rookie season, recording 933 yards on 83 receptions (11.2 yards per catch) and four touchdowns.

TORONTO — Kabion Ento, Davis Alexander and Nathan Rourke have been named Week 12 Players of the Week in the Canadian Football League (CFL). The honour spotlights exceptional statistical performances, pivotal plays, game-breaking feats and more. The three players were chosen by a panel composed of representatives from the CFL’s Football Operations, Player and Game Statistics, and Content departments.

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced on Tuesday that the team has signed National wide receiver Hakeem Harris and American quarterback Cameron Peters. Harris, 25, last played with the Montreal Alouettes after being selected 26th overall in the 2025 CFL Canadian Draft. The pass-catcher attended Davenport University (2020-2024), where he caught 14 passes for 238 yards and a touchdown.
