The Academy elects 2026-2027 Academy Foundation board members and officers
The Academy Foundation oversees all educational, preservation and cultural activities of the Academy, including the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the Academy’s Margaret Herrick Library, the Academy Film Archive, the Academy Collection and the Academy’s talent development programs. The Academy Foundation Board comprises 12 trustees who also are members of the Academy Board of Governors.

The Academy reveals 2026 Student Academy Award Winners: All winning films now eligible for 99th Oscars
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has voted 16 students as winners of the 53rd Student Academy Awards competition. This year, the Student Academy Awards competition received 2,972 entries from 894 colleges and universities worldwide. The 2026 winners join the ranks of such past Student Academy Award winners as Patricia Cardoso, Pete Docter, Spike Lee, Patricia Riggen, and Robert Zemeckis.

ASIFA-Hollywood recently elected a new Board President, Frank Gladstone, and Vice Presidents Jerry Beck, J.J. Blumenkranz & Tom Caulfield.
