Florian has been awarded SEK 700,000 and the funding will support the establishment of a new automated droplet generation platform for high-throughput functional drug discovery. “The support from the IngaBritt and Arne Lundbergs Forskningsstiftelse will help us overcome a key bottleneck in our research by automating droplet generation. It will substantially increase throughput and our capacity to generate large-scale datasets in future screening campaigns,” says Florian.

Studien är ett samarbete mellan forskare vid Göteborgs universitet och Chalmers tekniska högskola och genomfördes i Lunds kommun. Under hösten 2021 samlades enkätsvar in från elever i årskurs 4–9 vid sex skolor. Huvudanalysen omfattade enkätsvar från 1 268 elever och gruppsamtal med 20 elever vid två skolor.

The study was conducted in Lund Municipality, Sweden, by researchers at the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology. In fall 2021, researchers surveyed students in grades 4–9 at six schools. The main analyses included 1,268 students. The researchers also conducted qualitative sessions with 20 students at two schools.

Chalmers ingår i Cybercampus Swedens forskarskola, som nu lanserar sitt utbildningsprogram för doktorander inom cybersäkerhet. Det innebär att doktorander vid Chalmers och Göteborgs universitet får möjlighet att läsa kurser inom ett nationellt samarbete. Den första kursen startar den 6 oktober.

Chalmers is part of Cybercampus Sweden’s research school, which is now launching its training programme for PhD students in cyber security. This opens up for PhD students at Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg to have the opportunity to take courses as part of a national collaboration. The first course starts on 6 October.

The study examined 42 renovation projects managed by Gothenburg’s three municipally owned housing companies – Bostadsbolaget, Familjebostäder and Poseidon. In Sweden, these companies form part of the "Allmännyttan", a system of municipally owned housing companies that provide rental housing as part of Sweden’s public housing system. While similar forms of public or municipal housing exist in some other countries, there is no direct and general international equivalent to the Swedish model.

Through its collaboration with the University of Rwanda, Chalmers has established a network of researchers and contacts across industry, healthcare and the public sector. Chalmers is now looking for more companies and organisations interested in contributing project ideas. – Rwanda is a dynamic and exciting environment with a clear ambition to develop as a knowledge-based economy.

Genom samarbetet med University of Rwanda finns ett etablerat nätverk av forskare och kontakter inom bland annat näringsliv, sjukvård och offentlig sektor. Nu söker Chalmers fler företag och organisationer som vill bidra med projektidéer. – Rwanda är en expansiv och spännande miljö med en tydlig ambition att utvecklas som kunskapsekonomi. För många internationella aktörer fungerar landet också som ett regionalt nav och en språngbräda till andra delar av Afrika.
