EVANSVILLE, Ind. — If you fly over Indiana's Goebel Farms and look down, you'll see a face staring back at you. It's Charlie Kirk's. The visage of the slain right-wing commentator has been planted into the fields at Goebel Farms for the business' annual corn maze. Goebel announced the decision, complete with flyover pictures and video, in both a Facebook post and a lengthy statement to its website on Wednesday. The tribute comes a few days before the anniversary of Kirk's killing.

When I moved home to Fountain City after more than a decade in New York City, one of the things I looked forward to most was being part of a small community again. There is something special about living in a place where people know your name, notice when you haven’t been around, and show up when someone needs help. But being a good neighbor is about more than lending a hand. It’s also about how we talk about one another, how we handle disagreements, and how we show up for our community.

The Democratic Party wins the “party of workers” title by default.
