WASHINGTON — A federal judge on Friday ordered the Trump administration to give 48 hours' notice before engaging in any activity on the site of a triumphal arch it wants to build near Arlington National Cemetery, except for work to identify underground cultural artifacts.

A portion of the ceiling in the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts collapsed Friday evening after heavy rain swept through the Washington, D.C., area, prompting officials to temporarily close the building and renew calls for long-planned renovations. No one was injured when part of the ceiling in the building's Grand Foyer fell, according to the Kennedy Center. Photos released by the center showed chunks of ceiling material, dust and debris scattered across the red carpet.

Since winning their respective primaries last month, Democratic Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley and Republican U.S. Rep. Girls flag football is officially inside the top 10 of girls sports across the country, NFL Flag announced in a social media post on Wednesday. According to the post, more than 102,000 girls are playing flag football in 2026, marking a staggering rise from just 15,716 five years ago.

Ladies and gentlemen … Roger Goodell. Boo! Boo! Boo! That’s pretty much the standard reaction when the NFL Commissioner gets before a crowd. It has rained boos with Goodell on the stage at the NFL Draft, during cameos at NFL stadiums and shoot, a few weeks ago in Canton, even when he popped over for a photo op with more than 100 Hall of Famers on hand for enshrinement ceremonies. No, it’s probably nothing personal.
