A number of online retailers have been criticised for normalising ketamine use by selling graphic T-shirts ‘celebrating’ the dangerous drug. Companies such as Amazon, Temu and Shein stock a range of products sporting slogans, puns and cartoons about the Class B drug, which is linked to one death every week in the UK. Recent data from the Home Office shows a 151 per cent increase in recorded offences for ketamine possession from 2020-21 to 2025-26.

Assisted suicide is like other “major social changes such as a woman’s right to choose”, Lauren Edwards, sponsor of the resurrected assisted suicide Bill, states in her latest opinion piece. But choose what? We all know she means choosing death for their unborn babies. Abortion. The euphemistic language here is typical of those who advocate for evil. They use it because they know speaking the truth is distasteful, and does not fall kindly upon people’s ears. She is right, though.

A proposed ban on so-called conversion therapy would be “guaranteed to frighten people into silence”, Northern Ireland’s Minister for Communities has warned. Gordon Lyons MLA emphasised that Eóin Tennyson’s Member’s Bill, which is set to be debated for the first time in Stormont next week, “puts ordinary family life, religious practice, and honest conversations in the crosshairs of the criminal law”.

A neck device that chokes its wearer to death has been promoted at an assisted suicide workshop in London. Advertising the untested product ahead of last week’s event, Australian citizen Philip Nitschke claimed “the Kairos collar doesn’t ‘strangle’, you lose consciousness in 7 secs, and die painlessly from happy hypoxia”.

Pro-life supporters have gathered in their thousands at March for Life UK to highlight the far-reaching consequences of abortion. Under the banner ‘Abortion Hurts the Family’, thousands marched in London seeking to raise awareness of the tragedy of abortion for the whole family. In the UK, abortion is currently permitted for most reasons up to 24 weeks, and up to birth if the unborn child is deemed to have a disability. Earlier this year Parliament voted to allow women to abort up to birth.

At least four amateur Canadian women’s golfing titles have been taken by men in recent months. Since June, two men known as Rachel Elser and Veronica Ivy have, between them, deprived women of the Fort McMurray Club Championship, the Miskanaw Ladies Open title, and the British Columbia Women’s Mid-Amateur and Mid-Masters Championships.

More than 100 single men over the age of 40 applied to be recognised as fathers to babies born through surrogacy, The Times has revealed. Data from the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service also showed a large increase in same-sex couples applying to be the legal parents of surrogate babies – almost three times more than a decade ago. In 2019, single adults were given the same rights as couples to use a surrogate mother to have a baby.
