Search ArticlesBeyond the Cylinder: Why Storage Is the Missing Link in the Clean Gas Transition
This article is authored by Alexander Enulescu, Founder, KonveGas. In this article, he examines the critical role of storage systems in shaping the viability of clean gas adoption across CNG, biogas, and hydrogen value chains, with a particular focus on how materials, manufacturing emissions, and lifecycle performance influence the true decarbonisation potential of emerging energy storage technologies. 1. You’ve described storage as “the primary bottleneck” for clean gas adoption.
Thermal Runaway Is Not Just a Cell Problem: The Missing Link in BESS Safety Testing
This article is authored by Dr. Pradyumna Gupta, Founder and Chief Scientist of Infinita Lab and Infinita Materials. In this article, he explores the importance of bridging materials science, reliability engineering, and system-level safety to enable more resilient and sustainable next-generation technologies. In April 2019, the commissioning test of a battery energy storage system in Surprise, AZ, caused a thermal runaway event within the battery at the substation.

Managing Quality from Manufacturing to Deployment in Renewable Energy
This article is authored by Dr. Avishek Kumar, Founder and Director of Sunkonnect, a Singapore-headquartered renewable energy and sustainability advisory firm providing ESG, net-zero, climate, carbon audit, and green building consulting services. He can be reached through Sunkonnect. 1. Where in the supply chain do you see the most quality failures: raw material sourcing, in-process manufacturing, pre-shipment, or post-installation?
The Cleantech Supply Chain’s Quiet Problem: Component Qualification in the Rush to Deploy
Something quietly failing in cleantech deployments: there’s a trend the cleantech industry has so far not wanted to talk about, or even acknowledge publicly. Solar arrays are failing at rates faster than their expected lifetimes. Battery energy storage systems are being swapped out long before their estimated service lives are up. Electric vehicle charging stations in commercial settings are experiencing failure rates beyond the initial equipment manufacturer’s design specifications.
Lucknow Leads Under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana
Lucknow leads in rooftop solar installations. By April 15, 3,133 rooftop solar plants were installed in the city. More than 87,000 rooftop solar plants have been installed in Lucknow under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Data for January, February, March, and April has been released. The increase in installations is linked to higher electricity use, electric vehicle demand, and cost considerations.
