Climate Matters

Want to skip the talk and go straight to the films? Click here! A lot has been happening on climate change this year and you probably are wondering where did I disappear during this time of flux. In what is a significant departure from my usual routine, this year has been the year of long term projects. I have been incredibly occupied wrapping up and setting up several long term projects on climate change, which has been both very exciting and exhausting because I’m used to instant gratification.

When a book started trending recently over twitter and elsewhere, for its dystopian fictional premise which strikingly came true last week, I knew it was time to take a break from all the scientific facts (but you must read this) for a minute and talk about storytelling. wrote Paolo Bacigalupi in his 2006 short story, The Tamarisk Hunter, of an America ravaged by drought in 2030.

When Deej Phillips floated the idea of making a few videos on climate change awareness in mid-2019, I really had no big plans or expectations except maybe collaborating on a few videos together and being done with it. Fast forward 2.5 years and here we are making a slew of announcements on how far and wide the film is going and how our small idea has managed to grow into something far more substantial.

🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉 I know it’s been a little quiet here for a while but I’ve been rather swamped with releasing the film I’ve been working on for the past two years with Deej Phillips. And it’s finally done!! We just received the final sound and color mixed file and the post production is officially completed. And the cherry on top is that our film already got accepted at an international film festival and we have some exciting news on a TV broadcast that I’ll share early next year.
