CLUNK Magazine is a fast growing blog & Zine from Cornwall. Over the past four years we have been covering the local music scene as well as artists and scenes across the country. Our main objective is to show the country and the world that Cornwall has a vibrant creative community and growing music scene, whilst connecting Cornwall with what is going on outside of our humble little county. After years of photographing and filming the London music scene, Matt’s now based in Sydney, Australia. A lover of the post-punk and alternative movement, he can usually be found in the grassroots venues, camera in one hand and a beer in the other. Ask your Sydney friends, family or colleagues what they were up to this weekend and I can guarantee a good few of them will have the same answer: they were getting stuck in and a few deep at King Street Crawl.

From legendary jazz purists to the modern pioneers of neo soul, this year’s Love Supreme Jazz Festival proved once again why it remains the crown jewel of the UK summer music scene.

Man/Woman/Chainsaw On Debut Album And The Adrenaline And Awkwardness Of Live Shows
Photography by Charlie & Charlie Full time student and live music enthusiast, actively involved in Manchester and Newcastle’s music scene, interviewing and reviewing grassroots bands and larger indie acts. Man/Woman/Chainsaw wrote their debut album in two places that couldn’t be less alike: a half-abandoned North London vicarage with a homemade hessian monster lurking in the attic, and a distinctly unglamorous writing retreat in Kent.
Wolf Alice Stun With Huge Homecoming Show At Finsbury Park
Photographer trying to capture all the colours of the world one gig at a time. I love experimenting with my photos, both digitally and old school arts and crafts style. I also find my voice through writing about art in any shape or form. Catch me hopping around grassroots venues bopping my head and camera to some good tunes! Silver tinsel erupts in the air as ‘Bloom Baby Bloom’ opens Wolf Alice‘s biggest headline show to date.

CLUNK Recommends | Crawlers – AFRAID TO DIE
8 years in the game and still at it, I’m a photographer and musician based in Bristol. I love the music scene with my whole heart and capturing the little moments that might be missed is all I want to do. Big canon apologist, tiny camera fanatic and fond of anything that reminds me of Frank Ferdinand. Crawlers are one of those bands that deserve better. They reached astronomical viral status with ‘Come Over (Again)’ in 2021, when we were all deeply in need of some post-pandemic catharsis.
