Canada’s Organic Action Plan signals growth opportunity for retailers
The release of Canada’s Organic Action Plan (OAP) set the stage for members of the Canada Organic Trade Association (COTA) to meet in Ottawa from November 2 to 4, 2025 to urge the federal government to increase support for the organic industry. Canada’s OAP provides a national framework to grow the country’s organic food and farming sector, which has surpassed $9.75 billion in 2024 and ranked fifth in global sales.
Bruce Chapman of A.Vogel retires after 30 years
After more than three decades as a field sales representative, one of Ontario’s longest serving ‘road warriors’ has called it a day. Bruce Chapman, who joined the industry in 1995, started his career with Quest Vitamins as a territory manager and education/training manager. In 2005, he joined SISU, where he spent the next 17 years. After realignment of territory, he left the industry to pursue his own business.
