FRONTPAGE Andrea Marván Saltiel, Commissioner President of the Federal Economic Competition Commission (Cofece), was unanimously elected as Chair of the International Competition Network (ICN), the most important global network on economic competition.

The First Collegiate Circuit Court Specialized in Economic Competition, Broadcasting and Telecommunications denied the Amparo trial to AT&T Inc., after determining that Cofece, when individualizing the sanctions, is not compelled to consider all the elements settled in Article 130 of the Federal Law of Economic Competition (LFCE per its initials in Spanish).

La Autoridad de Competencia y los Mercados del Reino Unido (CMA, por sus siglas en inglés) confirmó que se cumplieron los supuestos jurídicos para designar a Google con estatus de mercado estratégico en los servicios de búsqueda y de publicidad en motores de búsqueda. La designación no prejuzga que Google haya violado la ley de competencia y no conlleva requerimientos inmediatos; sin embargo, permite a la CMA sopesar intervenciones proporcionales para promover la competencia.
