I've lost count of how often I've been asked to review it, or been asked how it compares to the other popular single-boiler espresso machines, including the Lelit Victoria or the Gaggia Classic Pro. I've now got my hands on one, finally.

They're very clever machines, which allow normal coffee drinkers to produce cafe-quality espresso-based drinks at home, using whole coffee beans. They're great machines, they're very easy to use, but it's important to understand that, like all coffee machines, they'll only continue to produce great-tasting espresso and espresso-based milk drinks if you keep them clean.

It looks the part, it’s unusually quiet, and it comes in a nice range of colours, but how does it actually perform, and is it worth the price tag? New here? I'm Kev, Coffee Kev to my mates. Posted on August 24, 2025 at 4:36 pm The Lelit Elizabeth is probably the most underrated dual-boiler espresso machine on the market, a hidden gem among home baristas who want precision & control usually reserved for much pricier machines. It's also not a trade-off between performance and design or fit & finish. This is a nicely built (inside and out) dual-boiler espresso machine with a premium feel, which also performs incredibly for the price. So what's the catch? New here?

They've just launched the new Sage Luxe Brewer filter coffee machine in the US, UK & Canada (aka Breville Luxe Brewer across the pond), and as we'd expect from Sage, it's full of clever features, and it does everything a filter coffee machine fan (and cold brew fanatic) could hope for.
