Hedera is advancing its cross-chain strategy with the introduction of the Cross-Ledger Protocol, or CLPR, a technology designed to allow tokens, data and messages to move between separate networks without relying on a conventional intermediary or bridge validator set. The initiative was presented at HederaCon 2026 as part of Hashgraph’s broader push to connect public and private networks.

BabyDoge has acquired LimeWire, bringing the well-known internet file-sharing brand under Web3 ownership as the platform prepares for a broader shift toward creator ownership, decentralized storage, and artificial intelligence-powered tools. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The modern LimeWire platform was rebuilt and relaunched in 2022 by brothers Julian and Paul Zehetmayr.

Hana Bank has completed a $100 million five-year foreign-currency digital bond using Euroclear’s distributed ledger technology infrastructure, achieving same-day T+0 settlement in what the bank described as a first for South Korea’s foreign-currency bond market. The transaction was completed on Sept. 18 through D-FMI, a distributed ledger technology platform operated by Euroclear.

The European Central Bank has launched Pontes, a new settlement service designed to connect regulated financial market platforms with central bank money for transactions involving tokenized assets. The system allows participating institutions to settle the cash side of tokenized trades without transferring the underlying assets onto an ECB-operated blockchain. The ECB said the initial Pontes launch took place on September 21.

Chainlink has announced 16 new integrations spanning six services and seven blockchain networks, expanding the reach of its decentralized oracle infrastructure across a wider range of blockchain-based applications. The latest additions highlight continued efforts by developers and financial technology platforms to connect smart contracts with external data and services.

World has launched World Money, a self-custodial financial application that combines stablecoins, investing, and international payments across more than 150 countries, marking a further expansion of the project beyond its original focus on digital identity verification. The new application allows users to maintain balances across eight currencies and send digital assets internationally.

MoonPay is expanding access to tokenized investment products through a partnership with WisdomTree that connects its payment infrastructure with WisdomTree Prime, the asset manager’s digital investment platform. The collaboration is intended to make it easier for retail investors to access blockchain-based investment products by allowing MoonPay’s payment infrastructure to be integrated directly into the WisdomTree Prime experience.

ZetaChain token holders have approved a plan to wind down the project’s own Layer 1 blockchain and migrate its ZETA token and Anuma artificial intelligence application to Solana, marking a major shift in the project’s strategy. Governance Proposal 68 passed on Sept. 20 with 99.4% support, while opposition and abstentions each accounted for 0.3%. Participation reached 58%, above the 40% quorum required for the vote to be valid, according to governance data and reports on the decision.

The Canary Staked TRX ETF, identified by the ticker $TRXS, has begun trading on WebullGlobal, expanding access to TRON-linked investment exposure through a conventional exchange-traded product. TRON DAO and Justin Sun confirmed the listing, which provides investors in traditional financial markets with an avenue to gain exposure to TRX while incorporating the potential benefits associated with staking.
