Legislation introduced June 24 in the House of Representatives by Rep. Don Bacon,  R-Nebraska, seeks individual congressional gold medals to recognize the efforts of the four crew members of the Artemis II on the 10-day moon mission in April.

Collectors are offered a 2026 Queen Jelena the Glorious commemorative coin issued by the Croatian National Bank in cooperation with the Croatian Mint. The latest release in the series is a 2-ounce silver €6 coin with partial gold plating and a ruthenium coating in a limited release of 500 coins, priced at €249.99 each. Queen Jelena’s name is preserved on fragments of a funerary epitaph discovered in Solin in the late 19th century.

A second known example of a wrong planchet error featuring a Washington, American Women Reverse quarter dollar struck on a Jefferson 5-cent coin planchet has been authenticated, graded and encapsulated by Professional Coin Grading Service. According to error coin specialist Mike Byers at MikeByers.com, PCGS certified the error — a 2022-D coin, from the Denver Mint, featuring the George Washington quarter dollar obverse and Wilma Mankiller reverse — as Mint State 64.

The production team at the Philadelphia Mint has had its challenges developing and executing the Proof 1776~2026-P Semiquincentennial, Freedom Ringing, Liberty Bell 1-ounce .999 fine gold $250 coin, half-ounce gold $125 coin and half-ounce .999 fine silver medal all in the shape of the iconic representation of American freedom The numismatic products are slated for a July 16 sales release, with mintages for each option limited to 2,026 pieces.
