Jim Coloff and Yoni Becker in front of KCHA Radio Coloff Media welcomes Achen Becker Media as the new owner of KCHA AM & FM, Charles City, and KCZE-FM, New Hampton. Achen Becker Media is a new local media company owned by Yoni Becker and Hannah Achen, who live on an acreage outside New Hampton. Yony Becker and Hannah Achen with their son. Hannah farms in the area with her father, and Yoni has worked in radio for over 20 years, most recently in the Waterloo & Cedar Rapids areas.

Two of our dedicated news leaders were recently recognized for their news coverage in their communities by the Iowa Broadcast News Association. “We are very proud of our team and the work they do providing unbiased, honest local news coverage our listeners and readers can trust,” said Jim Coloff, President of Coloff Media.

KCVM-FM, Cedar Falls, Iowa, received the prestigious Heritage Crystal Award. The station was given the award for winning five NAB Crystal Awards.

(Arnolds Park, IA) – The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association inducted Harry O from Coloff Media’s 103.7 The Fox into the Hall of Fame Class of 2025. This year marks the 28th year of the legacy of honoring achievements since the founding of the association. Inductees and award winners come from the following five regions in Iowa: Northwest Region, Northeast Region, Southwest Region, Southeast Region and the Central Region.

Coloff Media’s KCHA Radio in Charles City this year raised a record $8,774 for the Charles City Rotary Club during the annual Rotary Radio Auction held each February. The Rotary Club gathers donated items which are then sold to the highest bidder during the 3 hour live radio auction conducted by KCHA Radio staff and Rotary volunteers.
