As Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and President Donald Trump descend to Capitol Hill today, Common Cause and it’s one million members are giving the president, Blanche, and all of Capitol Hill a reminder via mobile billboard. “Blanche Protected Trump on Epstein. No AG.” The mobile billboardwill travel in a loop from the White House to the U.S. Capitol Building, and the Hoover Building from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. It will exclusively circle the Capitol from 12 pm to 2 pm.

Washington, D.C –Today, Common Cause filed an amicus brief in the Trump v. IRS lawsuit, sounding the alarm on an unprecedented and illegal immunity deal signed by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. Our challenge argues that the deal—which would grant broad criminal and civil protection to the President and his associates—is a direct violation of federal law.

On May 19, 2026, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and President Trump reached a private agreement granting President Trump, his family, and his affiliates immunity from all audits and investigations initiative prior to that date. This “settlement addendum” to the corrupt Trump v. IRS lawsuit is unprecedented in its scope and has dubious legal authority. Further, we’re concerned that implementing the agreement may put federal workers at risk of violating our nation’s tax laws.

Alexandria, Va. — A federal court today granted plaintiffs’ motion for a preliminary injunction, blocking the Trump-Vance administration from implementing its $1.776 billion so-called “Anti-Weaponization Fund” while litigation challenging the program moves forward. The plaintiffs include former career federal prosecutor Andrew Floyd, Professor Jonathan Caravello, the City of New Haven, the National Abortion Federation, and Common Cause. New York, NY– Today, Common Cause New York and the Let NY Vote coalition urged New Yorkers to vote early this primary election and to call the 1-866-OUR-VOTE hotline, available Mondays-Fridays, with any questions, concerns or problems. Saturday, June 13 is the first day of early voting in New York, and it’s also ‘Golden Day,’ the only day a new voter can register to vote in person at a poll site and cast their ballot on the same day.

No AG” and Blanche’s failure of the group’s public interest test released last month.
