WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned a lower court’s block on Trump’s executive order restricting mail voting. While the Executive Order is still blocked by a ruling in a different case, the Supreme Court’s action makes it more likely that a USPS rule restricting mail voting could move forward just weeks before the midterms.

Now, a new poll from YouGov shows the vast majority of Americans do not like the immunity deal that President Donald Trump secured for himself. More than 60% of Americans believe the IRS should not stop auditing the tax returns of Trump, his family and his businesses. And that doesn’t even get all the non-tax parts of the immunity deal, which includes a promise for the federal government not to investigate any crimes by the president’s inner circle.

After weeks of Americans demanding the Senate reject Todd Blanche, the U.S. Senate will approve Blanche as the next Attorney General. His approval comes after weeks of documented incompetence and lack of independence, including the botched release of the Epstein files, the illegal $1.8 slush fund at taxpayers’ expense, and the ongoing targeting of President Trump’s political opposition.

Alexandria, Va. – Plaintiffs in Floyd et al. v. U.S. Department of Justice et al. today filed an amended complaint in their challenge to the Trump-Vance administration’s  so-called “Anti-Weaponization Fund.”  The amended complaint challenges additional actions arising from the Trump v.

Following a concerted, multi-state legal effort by Common Cause to safeguard the private information of millions of voters, a federal judge today dismissed the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) lawsuit to obtain sensitive voter data in Washington D.C. Common Cause and a coalition of individual voters, represented by the ACLU, led the charge by filing the original motion to halt this federal overreach and ensure that DC voters’ sensitive data remains secure.

Common Cause launched a mobile billboardasking U.S. senators if they will stand with survivors of abuse or with Todd Blanche, the Acting Attorney Generalwho continues to ignore them. The billboard will run in downtown Cleveland on Thursday, August 6 and Friday, August 7, ahead of a U.S. Senate floor vote for Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche this week.
