Halloween has been my favorite holiday for as long as I can remember. What do you mean, I can just show up to people’s doors, knock, and get candy in my bag? The whole concept made no sense to me, but it didn’t need to because it was so much fun. But once you get older, and you go trick-or-treating, people give you weird stares. So unwillingly, I have had to find new things to do instead of scaring the teenagers who are now giving out candy.
Fashion is Pop Culture Pt.2
Fashion is such an incredible thing. Beyond trends and seasons, it’s one of the most powerful ways we express who we are, emotionally, spiritually, and authentically. It’s more than just putting on clothes; it’s about how we connect with ourselves and the world around us. Without fashion, life would feel just a little duller, a little less vibrant. It’s a living, breathing art form, and we wear it every single day.
Sunday Resets | Evolution 107.9
I can’t believe it’s already Sunday night. This week flew by and even worse the weekend felt even faster. How am I sitting in bed trying to get mentally prepared for the week already?? After a busy weekend, I always kinda feel stressed heading into the week, especially if it was a go, go, go, type of weekend. But there’s one thing that I know I can always do on a Sunday that helps make my week just go a bit smoother, and that’s a Sunday reset.
Grading The Last 5 First Overall Picks
If you’re one of those people who loves to quickly label draft picks, then this article is for you. I’m going to be looking back at the first overall picks from the last five NHL drafts. All of these players are at different stages of their careers. Some have solidified themselves as stars in the league, while others are still trying to find their footing.
Wrapping Up with the Warriors
This was my second year with the Vancouver Warriors, and it’s honestly been an incredible experience. Even though I couldn’t make it to every game, each one I attended was filled with unforgettable moments that made the season feel truly special. With the Warriors clinching their first-ever playoff spot in team history, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the highlights from this past season, maybe you experienced a few of these moments too.
14 Overtime Losses and a Whole Lot of Pain
The Vancouver Canucks are officially eliminated from playoff contention. I know it sucks not having playoff hockey, especially after how fun and electric it was last year. If you didn’t have a chance to see a game, I hope you at least got to go to a watch party, because those had a similar atmosphere. That’s a huge reason why this season feels even more disappointing.
Vancouvers’ Offseason Outlook
With the Canucks not making the playoffs, it’s time we shift our focus to the offseason. Usually, when teams miss the playoffs, there’s a lot that needs to get fixed. You could argue that’s the case with the Canucks, but I don’t think there’s a need for a complete overhaul. Don’t forget, this team has Quinn Hughes, who is the best defenceman in the league, and he’s only 25. Elias Pettersson is only 26. These are two elite pieces.
The Crazy 20s | Evolution 107.9
So to be completely real, last night it was 10:00 pm on a Friday night and I sat in bed doing homework while sipping on a diet coke. Now if you know me, this is all normal behaviour except for the fact that it was a Friday night. I am never ever the person to be sitting in my bed on a Friday night, or even any weekend night for that matter, even if I’m not going out or leaving the house I will at least at the minimum have some friends over. But nope. Not last night, and probably not tonight either.
Radio Arts And Entertainment Life
I just completed my Radio Arts and Entertainment program at BCIT and wow did those two years fly by. It’s funny, whenever I told my friends what I was doing at school they would always kinda be a bit confused. I mean it’s definitely not your typical labs and lecture hall university experience. But it was a great two years, so for those of you who are still a bit confused about what exactly goes on in the Radio Arts and Entertainment, here’s what it’s all about.
Work Culture: Who Stays and Who’s Just Passing Through
Let’s be honest, are you really friends with all your coworkers? Seriously, think about it. I’ll say what we’re all thinking: you do not have to be friends with everyone you work with. You can be friendly, sure, but friendship isn’t a requirement. That being said, in some work environments, especially smaller team-based ones, it can be helpful to form friendships. Having a good relationship with coworkers can make collaboration smoother and work more enjoyable.
