REDLANDS, Calif. — The City of Redlands has been designated a 2026 Fire Risk Reduction Community by the California Board of Forestry and Fire Protection, a state recognition that highlights the city's wildfire preparedness efforts and could benefit homeowners by requiring insurers to consider the city's verified wildfire mitigation efforts when setting rates.

REDLANDS, Calif. — Redlands police are investigating a strong-arm robbery after a suspect allegedly stole a donation jar raising money for a funeral and pushed a Subway employee to the floor when she tried to intervene. The robbery occurred Wednesday evening, July 8, at the Subway restaurant at 1256 Orange St., according to the Redlands Police Department's weekly crime update. Police said the suspect stole a jar containing donated cash before knocking the employee to the ground while fleeing.

REDLANDS, Calif. — Thirty-one recent high school graduates began a week of intensive public safety training Wednesday as the 27th annual Redlands Emergency Services Academy (RESA) kicked off at the University of Redlands. The weeklong program, known as RESA, immerses participants in boot camp-style training designed to introduce them to careers in law enforcement, firefighting and emergency medical services through hands-on exercises and simulations.
