Mapping the decolonial equity framework ecosystem: a comparative analysis of Critical Tiriti Analysis, Discursive Tiriti Analysis, Progress World View and Discursive Equity Analysis
This paper offers (as far as the author is aware) the first systematic comparison of four decolonial equity frameworks: Critical Tiriti Analysis (CTA), Discursive Tiriti Analysis (DTA), Progress World View (PWV) and Discursive Equity Analysis (DEA). CTA, developed by Came and colleagues, evaluates policy against Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles through a five-stage process ending in a Māori Final Word.

Research by and for communities takes centre stage at Government House
Government House came alive this week in celebration of community-led emerging researchers from across Aotearoa. Community Research’s 2026 Te Auaha Pito Mata Awards shone a light on rangatahi and researchers in the first 1–8 years of their careers, whose work centres and uplifts the knowledge of communities. Her Excellency The Right Honourable Dame Cindy Kiro presented the awards to six recipients across five categories.
