At Community Research, we’ve been shaping up a Special Collection of research and resources about queerness in Aotearoa – so here’s an exploration of a few things that some of that research is saying. Research by and for communities takes centre stage at Government House
Government House came alive this week in celebration of community-led emerging researchers from across Aotearoa. Community Research’s 2026 Te Auaha Pito Mata Awards shone a light on rangatahi and researchers in the first 1–8 years of their careers, whose work centres and uplifts the knowledge of communities. Her Excellency The Right Honourable Dame Cindy Kiro presented the awards to six recipients across five categories.
