The styling changes are subtle, but you can tell new from old thanks to a more prominent grille that, like that of the bigger RX, now leans forward a little more at the top, and new headlights that wrap more around the edges of that grille.
Ford brings back charity test drives for Irish Guide Dogs
How does it work? View gallery It's simple. Head to one of the events listed below and take a test drive in a new Ford. For every valid test drive, Ford donates €30 to Irish Guide Dogs. Each event can raise up to €6,000, based on a maximum of 200 test drives. This gives buyers a chance to try some of Ford's electric models, including the Explorer, Capri and Puma Gen-E. Ireland new car registrations August 2026
How many electric cars were sold in August 2026? In August, 2,265 new electric cars were registered, a seven per cent rise on the 2,115 registered in August 2025. So far this year, 32,079 new electric cars have been registered, a 55 per cent increase over the same period in 2025, when 20,642 were registered.
Kia PV7 teased as van and people carrier

Its design language clearly follows that of the existing Kia PV5. The PV7 will be the second all-electric commercial vehicle created on Kia's 'Platform Beyond Vehicle' (PBV) architecture.

James Deane marks 20 years of drifting at Mondello Park
News in Brief Cork-born drifting star James Deane will mark 20 years in the sport with the 130 Showdown at Mondello Park on September 19-20. The five-time Formula Drift champion will be joined by names including Mad Mike Whiddett, Chelsea DeNofa, Odi Bakchis and Baggsy, while Deane and Piotr Więcek will reunite with their rebuilt Worthouse S15 Silvias. Tickets start at €35 for adults and €15 for children.

News in Brief Dave has travelled to Germany to be one of the first in Europe to get behind the wheel of the Mazda CX-6e. The electric SUV follows hot on the heels of the recently introduced Mazda6e. The CX-6e features a 78kWh battery and has up to a 484-kilometre range, while inside there’s plenty of space and a massive 26-inch display screen stretching across the dashboard.
