Chowmainsoft has released a driver for integrating compatible Philips Google TV televisions with Control4 automation systems. The Philips Google TV driver uses Google’s native Google TV protocol to communicate with compatible televisions over a local network. The integration doesn’t require third-party software, additional hardware or a cloud service.

Epson has launched the EH-LS6000 and EH-LS7500, expanding its premium EH-LS home theatre projector range in Australia. Both models combine Epson’s 3LCD three-chip engine with 4K Enhancement Technology to produce 8.3 million pixels. They also use a solid-state laser light source rated for up to 20,000 hours of operation. The projectors feature AI-powered image processing, including AI Super Resolution for detail enhancement and an AI Perceptual Quantiser for brightness and contrast adjustment.

Chowmainsoft has introduced the Honeywell VISTA EnvisaLink driver to integrate compatible Honeywell/Resideo VISTA security systems with Control4 through the EyezOn EnvisaLink module. The EyezOn EnvisaLink is a local Ethernet interface that connects directly to the security panel and provides two-way communication over the local network. The integration operates without relying on cloud services. Supported Honeywell/Resideo panels include the VISTA 20P, 21iP, 15P, 10P, 128P and 250P.

Somfy has expanded its connected shading range with the launch of the Somfy Connect Universal Automation Interface (UAI) Plus, an interface designed to simplify the commissioning and integration of Somfy Digital Network (SDN) motors with smart home automation systems. The UAI+ provides direct commissioning and IP integration of SDN motors and is compatible with automation platforms including Control4, Crestron and Savant.

GENERAL Australia has launched anywAiR technology Zoneconnex, a WiFi-enabled zoning solution for ducted air conditioning systems in residential and light commercial applications. Zoneconnex provides independent control of up to ten zones, with airflow adjustable in 5% increments to help users direct conditioned air to the areas that need it.

Blustream has launched its latest generation of HDMI switching solutions, with new two, four and six-input models offering 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 video, HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 support, network-based IP control and HDMI audio breakout. The updated range comprises the two-input SW21AB-V3, four-input SW41AB-V3 and six-input SW61AB, each providing a single HDMI output. The switches are designed for meeting rooms, classrooms, presentation spaces and commercial and residential AV systems.

Chowmainsoft has launched a Navidrome driver for Control4, allowing users to browse, search and play music from a centrally managed Navidrome library directly through the Control4 interface. Navidrome is a private, self-hosted music server that stores and organises a music library in one central location, making it accessible across compatible devices including phones, tablets, PCs and web browsers.

Redback, distributed by Altronics, has launched the A4507 Programmable School Timer, a 1U rack-mount system designed to automate school bells, announcements, music and emergency messaging. The system supports programmable school calendars, repeating and rotating timetables, MP3 playback, remote programming and integration with Redback paging and PA systems.

BenQ has launched the ScreenBar Max and iScreenBar in Australia, expanding its ScreenBar range with two lighting solutions designed for modern workspaces, including multi-monitor setups and Apple iMac environments. The ScreenBar Max is designed for dual-monitor configurations, delivering more than 1,400lx of targeted illumination without taking up desk space.

Josh.ai has published a Code of Conduct for AI in the Home, outlining 12 principles for how AI should operate in connected living spaces while keeping home owners in control of their properties. The code is supported by a proposed Home Authority Stack, which defines how permissions should flow through a home. Under the architecture, AI doesn’t directly control connected devices.
