L U SIMON TO BUILD 92 HOMES FOR ST VINCENT DE PAUL IN FOOTSCRAY
St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria (Vinnies Victoria) has announced the build phase of their first major community housing project of 92 new affordable homes in Footscray. The project is a partnership between the Victorian Government’s Big Housing Build and construction company LU Simon Builders. The 18 story project will comprise: 28 one-bedroom homes 58 two-bedroom homes 6 three-bedroom homes Ground floor office space Parking for around 60 vehicles.
$33M BEACHSIDE DEVELOPMENT NSW MID NORTH COAST
Developers have applied to build 88 townhouses and apartments as part of a $33-million development in Old Bar, a small New South Wales coastal town between Newcastle and Coffs Harbour. The proposed development is for a mixed housing development consisting of: Traditional residential lots 56 two and three-bedroom townhouses 24 two-bedroom apartments 8 housing lots Majority of buildings with a maximum height of 8.5 metres Old Bar has a population of about 5000 people.
TWO NEW LEVEL CROSSINGS & STATION IN MELBOURNE
Level crossing works are ramping up in Melbourne’s southeast, commencing with the removal of two major level crossings on the Frankston Line and building a new Glenhuntly Station. Over four days, construction crews will do extensive ground works in preparation for digging a 1km trench next year. This will see the rail line lowered under Neerim Road and Glen Huntly Road – removing the two dangerous and congested level crossings.
