The initiative focuses on early intervention through member-led conversations rather than crisis response alone. The program has also been introduced at union conferences, apprenticeship events and industry meetings.
MSCA Continues Partnership With Convoy of Hope to Support Community Relief Programs
MSCA has partnered with Convoy of Hope for 16 years. The collaboration has provided more than $800,000 in food, hygiene supplies, equipment, and labor since 2010. MSCA raises more than $50,000 annually to support disaster relief and community assistance programs. Volunteer and fundraising activities are planned during the MSCA26 conference in Austin. Industry associations continue to expand community engagement initiatives alongside workforce and professional development efforts.
NECA Announces 2026 Academy of Electrical Contracting Fellows
NECA has selected 14 industry leaders for induction into the Academy of Electrical Contracting. The new Fellows will be installed during NECA 2026 in Las Vegas on Oct. 5. Fellowship recognizes long-term leadership and service within the electrical contracting industry. The inductees represent electrical contractors and NECA chapters across the United States. Recognition of industry leadership remains an important part of advancing the electrical contracting profession.
DEW Construction Recognizes Six Employees Completing Construction Leadership Program
DEW Construction recognized six employees who completed the ABC New Hampshire/Vermont Future Leaders in Construction program. The eight-month leadership initiative focuses on communication, leadership development and industry collaboration. Participants represented multiple disciplines, including project engineering, field operations, finance, human resources and marketing.
Massachusetts Releases 2026 Workforce Data Report Highlighting Employment Trends
Massachusetts has published its 2026 Workforce Data Report covering public, private, and nonprofit employers. The report analyzes workforce demographics from employers with 100 or more employees. More than 1,500 private-sector employer submissions represented approximately 760,000 workers. The report identifies workforce representation trends across leadership, job categories, industries, and pay levels.

Brasfield & Gorrie Advances First Phase of Chattanooga Wastewater Infrastructure Program
Brasfield & Gorrie is constructing the first phase of Chattanooga's Clear Chattanooga Sewer Overflow Abatement Program. The project includes approximately 40 million gallons of wet weather storage capacity across three equalization tanks. Work also features underground pump stations and more than 7,400 linear feet of sewer conveyance improvements. Brasfield & Gorrie is delivering the project through a progressive design-build approach with multiple engineering partners.
JPOrleans Advances Three Residential Community Developments in the Charlotte Area
JPOrleans is preparing to launch three new residential communities in the Charlotte, North Carolina, market. The developments will add 101 homes across Matthews, South Charlotte and the Palisades near Lake Wylie. The projects include single-family homes and duplex-style carriage homes. Community planning emphasizes infill development, open space and access to parks and greenways.
AECOM Selected as Lead Designer for Alexandra Bridge Replacement Project in Ottawa
AECOM has been selected as lead designer for the Alexandra Bridge replacement project connecting Ottawa, Ontario, and Gatineau, Quebec. The design team will support environmental, structural, civil, traffic, and utility engineering during project development. Capital Crossing Constructors will deliver the project through a joint venture of Webuild Civil Works Inc., Samsung C&T Ontario 1 Inc., and Green Infrastructure Partners Inc.
