Executive director Iain MacSween has been promoted to MD at Hallam Land, succeeding Nick Duckworth who will step down at the end of the year, after 33 years in the job. MacSween joined Hallam Land in 2018 as a regional manager, before joining its Board in 2021 and leading the South East region.

Conquip Engineering Group has announced the acquisition of shoring and excavation support equipment hire firm, Pro Mech. Conquip’s purchase of Pro Mech strengthens the group’s position in the UK market, particularly in excavation support. As a result, the group broadens its equipment offering to include hydraulic braces, frames, trenching sheets, and sheet piles, used to support structures during construction, maintenance, and repair.

‘Another successful year’ of trading for family-run construction contractor R Collard Limited
R Collard Limited has reported “another successful year” of trading, thanks to a strong performance by the group’s contracting division which helped to boost overall revenue by 7 per cent. Despite a challenging economic climate last year, which saw gross profit decrease to 16.4 per cent from 19 per cent the year prior, group revenue rose to more than £42.6 million, compared to £40.5 million the year before, largely due to R Collard’s contracting division.
