CORNING - The Missing Olive is still missing as of Friday, and the Corning Chamber of Commerce has released a fifth clue. If they don't find the elusive fruit by Saturday, a sixth clue will be revealed. Friday Clue: “Now everything is ready; the picnic can start, but suddenly Miss Olivia’s heart was happy to find the green grassy knoll, a perfect little place for her picnic stroll.

CORNING - As of Thursday night, the whereabouts of Missing Olive remain unknown. The Corning Chamber of Commerce has released a fourth clue.

CORNING – The Corning Chamber of Commerce released an All Points Bulletin to find the Missing Olive while the festival's mascot and official spokesfruit, Olivia, was out on a picnic. The festival opened Monday with the release of the first clue of the Hidden Olive Hunt. The Hidden or Missing Olive is a Corning tradition; the small wooden olive has been “lost” within Corning's city limits. The Corning Chamber of Commerce posts daily clues on its Facebook page until the missing olive is discovered.

Halloween and Fall Festivals Corning Trunk or Treat CORNING - The 6th Annual Corning Trunk or Treat will take place on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Northside Park and the Teddy Pohler Swimming Pool at 1414 Coulsa Street in Corning. This is a free, family-friendly event.

CORNING — The 79th Annual Corning Olive Festival is in full swing as “the Olive City” once again celebrates a hundred years of heritage around its Queen Crop. Tuesday night brought Corning downtown for the final night of Tuesday Market this time featuring the "Corning Does it Bedder" Bed Races. Once again Corning Volunteer Fire Department dominated the races, taking it's 4th consecutive win. Second place honors went to Corning Union Elementary.

CORNING – Once again, the Corning Volunteer Fire Department dominated the "Corning Does it Better" Bed Races, taking their 4th consecutive win on Tuesday evening as part of the 79th Annual Corning Olive Festival and Car Show Week. The races took place on the final night of the season at the Corning Downtown Market on Solano Street. The team, made up of Paco Ruiz, Raul Miron, Rafia Barriga, and Taybin Sanchez, eliminated challenger after challenger in each round before taking first place.

RICHFIELD – Startling new evidence released Monday afternoon by Tehama County Sheriff David Kain has altered the official cause of death for the driver of a truck that smashed into a Tehama Rural Area eXpress (TRAX) Bus back in January near Richfield. Authorities now say the driver of the truck, Christine Whittmore, intentionally ended her life, which means that the 5 related deaths that day – the bus driver and his passengers – were all homicide victims.

LOS MOLINOS - Homecoming is special in Los Molinos, said Principal Megan Weiss. Homecoming lets the past inspire the future and gives the future a chance to look to the past. “Homecoming in a small town like Los Molinos brings our students and our entire community together,” Weiss said. It’s a time to wear purple and gold, celebrate our Bulldog Pride, and support our students and the future of our community.” This year was no exception, as the attendance at the football game broke new records.

RED BLUFF – On Friday, the Tehama County Health Services Agency announced it will host a no-cost drive-through flu clinic in two weeks. The clinic will be held on Friday, Oct. 16, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Government Center Parking Lot at 1850 Walnut Street in Red Bluff. Officials say the clinic offers free flu vaccines to help protect residents and reduce the spread of illness during flu season.

Second Annual Candlelight Walk in Corning CORNING – For the second year, Empower Tehama will host a Candlelight Walk in Corning, continuing to expand awareness and support throughout South County. The evening will include a special performance by the Corning High School Choir as the community comes together in remembrance and hope. The Candlelight Walk will happen on the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. on the lawn of the Corning Library, 740 Third Street.
