Looking back at the most iconic outfits from “Sex and the City”
When people look back on the hit show “Sex and the City,” they are transported to New York City, watching the four women, Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York, Samantha Jones and Miranda Hobbes strut down 5th Ave. in their iconic outfits. “Sex and the City” holds some of the most memorable outfits of the late ’90s and early 2000s. People often rewatch the show solely to look back at these iconic outfits. Patricia Field is the woman responsible for the well-known outfits from the show.
New York Summers Reimagined by Ethan Lewy in New Pop-Up
June 10th marks the introduction of Ethan Lewy’s newest and first spring/summer line of menswear, The Flying Point Collection, with a pop-up in New York City’s Lower East Side. Ethan Horing, the founder and creative director of Ethan Lewy, is reimagining the summerwear of vacationers as they escape the city out east for the Hamptons.
Justin Headlined the Stage. Hailey Headlined the Desert.
By the time Justin Bieber took the stage Saturday night at the first weekend of Coachella, the festival was already running on Bieber energy. His set delivered exactly what the music festival thrives on: nostalgia, spectacle and a crowd fully aware they were watching a cultural reset in real time. Beyond Justin Bieber’s music career, he also launched a career in fashion with his brand Skylrk.
Winning ‘Best Dressed’ at the Laufey Show: A Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Think about your favorite part of Laufey’s music. This could be a specific song, the jazziness, the classical techniques, etc. Why does that stand out to you, and how does it make you feel? Past winners of the contest have emulated their personal relationship to Laufey’s music, resulting in outfits of varying styles and aesthetics. Some winners don flowy ballgowns fit for a princess, whereas others have worn light-up tutus with corsets.
The appeal of “fresh faces” in media: “Heated Rivalry” versus “Wuthering Heights”
After the runaway success of “Heated Rivalry,” Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams’ lives will never be the same. “Heated Rivalry” is a six-episode adaptation of Rachel Reid’s eponymous novel, released in 2019. The saga follows the secret relationship between professional hockey players Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander, whose on-ice rivalry grows into romance.
Ozempic as a Status Signifier
Wellness has long been a major industry, but companies have increasingly commercialized a concept that once simply promoted a healthy lifestyle. In doing so, it often overlooks environmental, socioeconomic and systemic factors that shape health. More concerningly, it can equate being fit with moral virtue, implying that those with “unhealthy” lifestyles have committed a sin.
The Devil Wears Prada 2
When “The Devil Wears Prada 2” arrives in May, it won’t just be another sequel — it will be a litmus test. Not for nostalgia (that’s guaranteed), but for relevance. When “The Devil Wears Prada” first defined the intersection of fashion, power and aspiration, it did so with surgical precision. Meryl Streep’s cerulean monologue alone reframed how audiences understood trends — not as spontaneous expressions of taste, but as engineered signals flowing down from the highest echelons of the industry.
Euphoria Season 3 Review
When I was 17, “Euphoria” was my most trusted authority on coming-of-age — for better and for worse. With my first paycheck, I bought the same plum I.AM.GIA cutout set that Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie) wore in the carnival episode, followed by a blue bodycon number Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweeney) donned at the infamous New Year’s Eve party where she betrays her best friend. Although I look more like Cassie — honey-blonde and blue-eyed — I wanted to be a Maddy: a femme fatale who took no prisoners.
From indie roots to influencer culture: Coachella’s evolution
Today’s Coachella is a bona fide “influencer Olympics,” where TikTokers, vloggers and even goldendoodles with VIP wristbands compete to produce the flashiest sponsored content and secure the biggest poolside mansions. However, it was not always this way, and the consumerist glitz of today’s festival is antithetical to its late ’90s countercultural origins. Coachella began as a large-scale, alternative, genre-blending and artist-focused festival, à la Glastonbury in the United Kingdom.
