GILLETTE, Wyo. — Here is a summary of notable crimes in and around Gillette yesterday, April 22, obtained through law enforcement reports compiled by the Gillette Police Department and the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office. Fraud, April 22, GPD A woman reported that a man called a local gas station and claimed he was from a business and the gas station owed them money. He instructed her to take money out of the safe and deposit it into a bitcoin machine. The investigation is still ongoing.

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Cooler, unsettled weather is expected across Campbell County through the weekend as a cold front moves through the region, according to the National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota. Forecasters say Thursday will bring breezy conditions and a noticeable drop in temperatures after earlier warm weather. Recent highs climbed well above normal for late April, reaching into the 80s and 90s, but cooler air behind the front will push daytime highs down into the 40s and 50s.

GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Campbell County Library Board met on Monday as members moved through a brief agenda focused on construction progress, upcoming programming and rising library use. Board members received an update on Wright’s library exterior renovation project from Bill Beastrom. Falcon Construction has completed all concrete pouring and waterproofing. Officials noted the dry conditions were challenging for the area but created favorable circumstances for moving dirt and pouring concrete.

The last UW Cowboy standing in the NFL this year had his season end one game before the Super Bowl, as Crum and the Broncos fell 10–7 to the New England Patriots in a nail-biter. Crum, an offensive lineman, took the field for 16 snaps in the loss.

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Gillette could see a light dusting of snow before another chilly, breezy January day. No snow accumulation is expected. According to the National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota, the Gillette area could see a scattering of flakes before 11 a.m. The city should not receive any snow otherwise, and the remainder of the day will be sunny. Despite the sun, the area is only going to get as warm as 3 degrees.
