India trounce England in historic Lord's Test
India beat England by 270 runs as the first women's Test in the history of Lord's concluded with the hosts dismissed for 186 while chasing a target of 457. Lord's, cricket's most iconic ground, has been hosting international matches since 1884. It staged its first women's international in 1976, a 50-over match between England and Australia.
Renegades have point to prove in 'last dance': Sutherland
Melbourne Renegades captain Will Sutherland says his team will have nothing to lose this summer and have set their sights on a "fairytale" championship in potentially their last season known as the Renegades. Cricket Victoria relinquished control of the Renegades last month ahead of an intended 100 per cent sale of the franchise to a private investor. The Renegades are still funded by CV but will be run independently away from state body's Junction Oval headquarters until a sale is finalised.

The world's most successful T20 franchise is keen to put on a show for the world's biggest cricket audience Ashton Agar believes Perth Scorchers' historic Big Bash League trip to India will introduce the competition's most successful club to cricket's biggest audience without disadvantaging their loyal home fans. The Scorchers will open KFC BBL|16 against Melbourne Renegades at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium on December 12, the first Big Bash match to be played outside Australia.
Bazball is over with McCullum let go as Test coach
Bazball is officially over after Brendon McCullum was sacked as England Test coach. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Sunday (UK time) the New Zealander would stand down as the country's Test coach with immediate effect, though he'll continue to lead the England men's white-ball teams. McCullum said that he was "gutted" his four years as coach had been brought to an end, but that he respected the ECB's decision.
Ex-England skipper retires from international cricket
Former England captain Heather Knight has announced her retirement from international cricket after a 16-year career. The 35-year-old will make her final appearance during the current Test match against India at Lord's, the venue where she famously led the team to World Cup glory in 2017. She joins fellow England stalwart Tammy Beamont in exiting the international game this week. Knight, who debuted in 2010, bows out as England women's all-time record appearance-maker with 320 caps.
Brook, Buttler hammer England to the top T20 world rankings
Jos Buttler and Harry Brook led the way with swashbuckling batting displays as England went top of the men's T20 world rankings after beating India by 56 runs to take the five-match series 4-0. Buttler hammered 131 in 64 balls and captain Brook made 95 not out in 45 deliveries to propel England to 3-257, their third-highest T20 total and highest against India.
Lyon confident of return for Bangladesh Test series
Nathan Lyon is confident he will return to Test cricket when the Australians take on Bangladesh in next month's series opener in Darwin. Lyon sustained a hamstring injury in the third Ashes Test last December and has played no cricket since, with the 38-year-old carefully working his way back to full fitness as he targets a heavy workload across a stretch of 20-21 Tests in the next 13 months.
