I never would have guessed that this tranquil, quaint town would grab two of the spots. On this visit, I went to Pizzeria Marzano, which is located outside the historic downtown area. Pizzeria Marzano has received numerous accolades over the years, and I was excited to see for myself whether I agreed.

I’m truly embarrassed to say, (and filled with regret) that Max Chef to Farm dinner series launched in 2009, and I just FINALLY made it to one of these events this past week. The series is a partnership between Max Catering & Events and Rosedale Farms & Vineyards in Simsbury, CT.

The Birdcode Story Part One: Meet the Founders Brandi & Phil Killoran This three-part series focuses on Birdcode, a fried chicken joint based in Connecticut, created by Connecticut locals. Part One focuses on the backstory of its founders, Brandi & Phil Killoran. Birdcode founders, and the husband-and-wife team of Phil & Brandi Killoran, outside of their first location in West Hartford. About six years ago, fried chicken chains started popping up all over Connecticut.

Following her father’s passing, self-taught baker Wendy Mitchell began to explore her Irish heritage. This led her to volunteer at the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center where she fell in love with traditional Irish recipes whilst baking for fundraisers.
