ARLINGTON, Texas — Dallas Wings rookie guard Azzi Fudd will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on her right knee next week and miss the remainder of the 2026 WNBA season, the team announced Wednesday. Fudd has been sidelined since Aug. 5 with ongoing knee soreness. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft averaged 13.1 points in 30 games while shooting 39.7% from 3-point range.

GLENDALE, Ariz. — The Dallas Cowboys head to Arizona looking to keep their preseason momentum rolling. Dallas enters Saturday night’s matchup against the Cardinals at 1-0 after opening the preseason with a victory over Seattle. A win at State Farm Stadium would give the Cowboys a 2-0 preseason record for the first time since 2007. The Cowboys are also coming off a milestone of sorts.

SANDY, Utah — FC Dallas turned a wild seven-goal match into a dramatic road victory Wednesday night, holding off Real Salt Lake 4-3 on a late goal from Ran Binyamin. Petar Musa led the way for Dallas, scoring twice to push his league-leading total to 16 goals. His first goal also put him in MLS history, making him just the fifth player to record at least 15 goals in each of his first three MLS seasons.

ARLINGTON, Texas — Cal Quantrill delivered the kind of start the Texas Rangers needed Tuesday night. Quantrill worked seven scoreless innings, and Texas backed him with timely hitting as the Rangers opened their homestand with a 5-0 victory over the Washington Nationals. The win moved Texas to 62-64 and, with Baltimore and Detroit both losing, put the Rangers alone in possession of the American League’s third and final wild-card spot.

SAN FRANCISCO — The Dallas Wings made a furious fourth-quarter push Monday night, but it wasn’t enough, falling 78-70 to the Golden State Valkyries at Chase Center. Dallas erased much of a 20-point deficit, outscoring Golden State 28-12 in the fourth, but couldn’t complete the comeback. Paige Bueckers led Dallas with 21 points, including 19 in the second half, while Arike Ogunbowale added 17. Alanna Smith finished with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting. Turnovers proved costly for the Wings.

AUSTIN, Texas — FC Dallas picked up a big road win Sunday night, beating Austin FC 2-1 behind another clutch performance from Petar Musa. Musa scored in the 73rd minute for his 14th goal of the season, moving back into the MLS Golden Boot lead and giving Dallas its fifth road victory of 2026. Lalas Abubakar opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time with his first goal of the season. Austin answered through 18-year-old Ervin Torres in the 57th minute before Musa delivered the deciding goal.

OXNARD, Calif. — The Dallas Cowboys are bringing one of North Texas’ most accomplished football players home. The Cowboys agreed to terms with veteran outside linebacker Von Miller on a one-year contract Sunday, adding an eight-time Pro Bowl pass rusher to a defense looking for more production and experience up front. For Miller, the move represents a return to familiar territory.

DALLAS — Dallas Trinity FC opened its home schedule with a 1-1 draw against Tampa Bay Sun FC, earning a point Saturday night at the Cotton Bowl as Seven Castain scored in her club debut. Castain put Dallas on the board in the 49th minute, opening her scoring account and giving Trinity FC an early second-half lift. The goal was also a memorable first for Castain, who made her debut in front of the home crowd. “It’s awesome. I really can’t think of a better place to do it,” Castain said.

SEATTLE — The Dallas Cowboys came away with a 17-7 preseason victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday night, with rookie wide receiver Camden Brown providing the biggest plays of the night with two touchdown receptions. The Cowboys also got an encouraging performance from Joe Milton III, who strengthened his case in the ongoing competition for Dallas’ No. 2 quarterback job behind Dak Prescott.
