Sony Music Jermaine Dupri, the Grammy-winning producer and founder of Atlanta-based So-So Def Recordings, sued Sony Music Entertainment in Manhattan federal court for at least $18 million in allegedly unpaid royalties tied to decades of hip-hop and R&B recordings. The July 6 complaint, filed in the Southern District of New York by Brown & Rosen, asserts breach of contract and breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing.
