Mark DeGarmo Dance continues its transcultural transdisciplinary Virtual Salon Performance Series for Social Change 2022 to an international audience on Zoom with performances featuring global performing artists from New York City and Riga, Latvia-- Sloga Iyengar (New York City), Marija Krtolica & Dustin Maxwell (New York City), Aigars Larionovs & Nauris Mikelis Goba (Riga, Latvia), and Debbie Mausner (New York City) on Thursday April 7th at 7PM ET.
Morning Afternoon Evening
Beth Jucovy's "Morning Afternoon Evening," a holistic artwork encompassing dance, theater and music, and background film, brings to life the imagery and ideas expressed in a lyrical and symbolic poem written by the creator's daughter Kyra Jucovy. The 8-member dance ensemble will be joined by actor Tzena Nicole. The music collage includes Satie, Brahms, Orff, Johannssohn, Laurie Andersson and more. Jucovy's Dance Visions NY appears as part of the Emerging Artists Theater's New Work Series.

Mark DeGarmo Dance continues its transcultural transdisciplinary Virtual Salon Performance Series for Social Change monthly through June 2022 to an international audience on Zoom with performances featuring 4 global performing artists from Olathe, KS, Kyoto, Japan, Pittsburgh, PA, and Oak Park, IL-- Mita Ghosal (Pittsburgh, PA), Winifred Haun (Oak Park, IL), Maya Ichikawa (Kyoto, Japan), and Garima Yadav (Olathe, KS) on Thursday March 3rd at 7PM ET.
Brenner/Jowers/Mendl Shaw Art Show
Creative people create and, during covid, dancers Christine Jowers, Janis Brenner, and JoAnna Mendl Shaw turned their attention to "visual choreography." Their art show, called "Doodles, Collages, and Paintings: Dancers Pivot to Visual Choreography," will be shown at the Susan Eley Fine Art Gallery in NYC, March 14-21. Admission is free, and daily hours, March 15-21, are from 11 am to 7 PM. Opening Reception is March 14, 6 to 9 PM.

Featuring an ensemble of five dancers and seven vocalists, "Munu Munu" will be performed Feb. 11 & 12 at the Mark Morris Dance Center in Brooklyn.

Mother and daughter team, writer Terrel and dancer Kaelyn Lefferts, announce Dance-It-Out! Creative Movement Stories for children ages 4 to 7. The delightful 24 book series combines whimsical storytelling and interactive play to fully engage the readers.
