Hi folks, We just put out a new video that asks a question many people will find irritating: Despite all of its problems, could AI actually be a tool to liberate humanity? I totally understand the hostility against AI, the fear of it, and the dangers it has unleashed, ranging from the threat of extinction to the prospect of cognitive atrophy if people rely on it for basic reasoning tasks.

I have been reviewing the SpaceX IPO and various analyses of their plan, and the findings are deeply unsettling. The SpaceX offering bears little resemblance to a normal company seeking funding to build meaningful, long-term revenue streams. It appears closer to a final extinction burst of post-industrial capitalist machismo, contorting into a reprehensible, inhumane form of techno-fascism with cosmological pretensions.

On March 12, 2026, Christie’s auctioned off trademark items from the 1950s counterculture and the history of rock ’n’ roll. At its galleries at 20 Rockefeller Plaza, Christie’s exhibited the objects, which came from the collection of Jim Irsay, a billionaire who owned the Indianapolis Colts and died last May. The pieces for sale included Jack Kerouac’s famous scroll of his breakthrough novel, On the Road.

I keep thinking about the very worrisome report that a Christian “End Times” belief system has infiltrated the U.S. military, with soldiers being told by their commanders that the Iran War is part of a necessary process leading to the Christian apocalypse. What is, frankly, terrifying about this is that many of the evangelical fanatics supporting Trump believe he is destined to bring about the literal events in the book of Revelation so they can get to the messianic return and the Rapture.

Many people are, quite sensibly, focused on the Iran War right now. Of course, the Iran War could be a diversion from the Epstein Files. Or the Epstein Files may be a diversion from whatever Larry Ellison is doing as he not only takes a 1984-level monopoly control of our media but also, apparently, seeks to consolidate all of our personal data via Oracle plus “Project Stargate,” or whatever.
