Wow! It’s already July. Hopefully, you’re finding some fun and/or relaxing stuff to do this summer. We’ve been staying busy since getting home from the last tour. We’re working on new music every day and getting ready for a few full-band shows in the Midwest. These are part of our 30th anniversary celebration, and we’ll be playing a bunch of our favorite songs. Advance Base will be with us in Milwaukee, Chicago, and Kalamazoo. The Champaign show is part of the Taylor Street Block Party series.

They’ll be playing songs spanning the entire catalog. As always, we’re giving our Substack subscribers a two-day head start on getting tickets before we announce the shows anywhere else.

To all the fans who have been asking us to come to Brazil for many years… it’s finally happening. We’ll be playing at the Balaclava Festival 2026 in São Paulo on September 26. It’s an incredible line-up. If you’re there, please join us if you can. While doing some digital organizing, we came across this video that was made during the recording of Bazan’s 4th solo album, Care. Today, March 7th, happens to be the 9th anniversary of the album’s release. So it seemed like a good time to share this. Our friend, Brandon Vedder, came to Richard Swift’s National Freedom studio in Cottage Grove, Oregon, during the recording sessions and captured some nice moments of Dave and Richard working on the album together.
