Well, strangely this year in 2024, as of January 22, 2024, Srinagar Leh Highway is still open for light vehicles with cautionary warning of safe travel. There hasn’t been any significant snowfall yet in the Himalayas. The winter months of November 2023, December 2023, and January 2024 have not seen any major snowfall due to which Zojila Pass is still open for light vehicles on January 2024. Due to this reason, the Srinagar Leh Highway is open currently and only light vehicles are allowed.
