Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, in a speech to parliament, announced the prevention of an attempt by the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) to cross the Indian-Chinese border. According to the minister, Chinese troops have made an attempt to unilaterally change the status quo on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh.

Russia increased oil production by about 2% in November, before the EU oil embargo came into force. This means that due to the deferred effect of export restrictions on production, it can reach 530 million tons by the end of the year.

The idea of introducing an oil price cap for Russia appeared in early autumn and was announced by the finance ministers of the G7 countries. The initiative was supported by Australia, the UK and the EU countries. The United States and Europe have already developed legal mechanisms for new restrictions. As Timofeev reminds, the price cap is a relatively new measure of economic sanctions. Its introduction is due to the inability to impose blocking sanctions on Russian oil.

Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of NATO stated that 2022 will be the eighth consecutive year of increased defence spending among the alliance members. Since 2014 member states of NATO have spent over $350 billion on military purposes. The spending is going to rise and probably even more intensively.

After Russia's recognition of the DPR and the LPR, as well as the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, a number of EU countries, for various reasons, restricted or stopped issuing Schengen and national visas to Russian citizens or restricted entry into their territory.

Member States have also acknowledged that the threat landscape varies by region and State and that what constitutes a threat varies according to each country’s characteristics. However, despite pointing to the deterioration of the ICT security environment, the United Nations cyber processes have not focused on mapping a common threat landscape.

There were moderate positive expectations about the conference in terms of the dialogue dedicated to the issues of nuclear arms control and disarmament. At the very beginning of the event, US president Joe Biden announced the US preparedness for further cooperation in the field of nuclear arms control.

Any conflict sooner or later ends in peace and some people hope for a return of "normality". Such logic seems to be simple: at some point the parties will cease fire and sit down at the negotiating table. Following this logic, the end of hostilities would lead to a gradual reduction of sanctions pressure, and Russian business would be able to return to working with Western partners.

The exemption includes the appropriate facilities at which exhibitions may be conducted under the Treaty. The MFA refers to the  item 5 of Section 1 of Part Five of the Protocol to the Treaty, which allows such steps.

The three main issues to be discussed by the participants of the round table will be: current problems of human resources development in defense industry organizations; the role of professional communities, councils of young scientists and specialists and other similar youth associations of defense industry organizations in the development of defense industry youth; tasks of defense complex development as a challenge to defense industry youth.
